Patricia Sams

Patricia Ann Sams, 71, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Friday, November 17, 2017 in the Minton Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive guests from 5-7 pm on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the funeral home.

Patricia was born November 1, 1946 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Maurice Claude Lilley and Marjorie Mae Lieske Lilley. She married Billy Gene Sams on May 16, 1970 in Borger. Patricia worked for Golden Plains Community Hospital for over 30 years as a medical transcriptionist. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. Nothing brought more joy to her life than spending time with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband.

Survivors include her son, Gary Sams of Borger; daughters, Pamela Pothuisje of Fritch, Sue Flournoy and husband David of Lubbock, Gena Sams of Lubbock; eight grandchildren, Evan Ryan Pothuisje, Caitlin Sams, Bailey Sams, Ashleigh Sams, Riley Sams, Aubree Sams, Haylee Flournoy, and Hope Flournoy; one great granddaughter, Everlee; brother, Charles Lilley of Gruver; sister, Carol Bliss and husband O.D. of Borger; and numerous nieces and nephews.
