Panhandle

Irene Ensey, 85, of Panhandle passed away Saturday, January 23rd in Amarillo, Texas. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Jerry Lane officiating. Burial will be in the Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.

Irene was born to George and Cora Cobb October 6, 1924 at Tolbert, Texas. She was a waitress at the Johnson Cafe for eleven years. On November 1, 1942 she married Elmer Ensey at Vernon, Texas. She loved her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother and three sisters.

Irene is survived by two sons Gifford and wife Diane Ensey of Borger, Texas. Lynn and wife Cindy Ensey of Amarillo, Texas. Daughter Nancy and husband Raymond Swaney of Lefores, Texas. Brother Billy Cobb of Desoto, Texas. Nine Grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday Jan. 25th from 6 pm to 8 pm. Memorials may be made to Odyssey Health Care 6900 I40 West, Suite 150 Amarillo, Texas 79106
