Peggy Fields

Peggy Joyce Fields, loving wife and devoted mother, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 23, 2011, in Panhandle.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 2nd, at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Earl Burkholder, Pastor officiating. Cremation is under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Fields was born on October 23, 1929, in Bartlesville, Okla., and had been a Borger resident since 1963. She married Jerry Fields on August 17, 1947, in Guthrie, Okla. She was a homemaker, wife and mother. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crosswords and word puzzles, movies of all kinds and crocheting. She loved to play games like Canasta and Skipbo and was an amazing cook.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Fields on October 20, 2006 parents Fred Muriel Ragain soninlaw Dennis Ames brother Fred Ragain, Jr. granddaughter Melissa Dawn Keeth and sister Joan Ragain Dobson.

She is survived by her two sons, Mike Fields of Borger, Stanley Fields of Miami, Fla., two daughters, Beverly Fields and Toni Ames both of Borger a sisterinlaw, Taeko Ragain of Lawton, Okla. six grandchildren, Melissa Stroud and husband Shawn of Borger, Julie Keeth of Amarillo, Darren Keeth and wife Stephanie of Austin, Lori Keeth of Flagstaff, AZ, and Jeremy Fields and Alan Fields both of Mt. Vernon, Ohio and eight greatgrandchildren, Chloe Stroud, Lauren Royer, Blythe Larson, Bailey Larson, Justin Keeth, Houston Everett, Vince Everett and Destani Fields.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 1202 Valley Dr., Borger, TX 79007 or to the American Heart Association.
