P. T. Tommy Huffine, 88, died Tuesday December 16, 2014 at his home in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Richard Kasko, minister Fritch Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Tommy was born May 16, 1926 in Cement, OK to Phillip Thomas Huffine, Sr. and Lillianne Adele Henderson Huffine. He was a resident of Borger for 43 years before moving to Amarillo 23 years ago. He was longtime Office Manager for Philger 66 and then Shop Manager for G. E. Jones Electric Co. Tommy was a member of Southwest Church of Christ and had coached Little League Baseball in Borger, he loved baseball his whole life. You had to discuss the Texas Rangers first in all conversations, then you could talk about what you wanted.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Billie Sue and his second wife Doris Pinner, his parents and 8 brothers and sisters.
Tommy is survived by his son Larry Huffine and his wife Vanessa of College Station, TX, three daughters Beverly Stinson and her husband John of Amarillo, Toni Barrett and her husband Randy of Winter Park, CO and Linda Jones and her husband Ron of Lubbock, his brother Carol Huffine and his wife Janet of Borger, his sister Edith Frederick of Deer Park, TX, nine grandchildren and fifteen greatgrandchildren.
