Phil Williams

Phil Williams, 68, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023.

A celebration of his life will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Borger with Pastor Charlie Morgan officiating.  In lieu of flowers, please honor his memory with a gift to First Baptist Church of Borger, Legacy Fund, 100 S. Phillip Glenn Williams was born November 23, 1954, in Clovis, New Mexico to Grayson Ray Williams and Flora Belle Smith Williams.  He married Vickie Lynn Opdenhoff Schoenhals on December 16, 2000.  Phil was a member of First Baptist Church in Borger, where he not only worshiped but served actively.  He had a true servant’s heart and enjoyed spending time doing various mission work including disaster relief work.  Phil retired from Phillips 66 where he worked as a maintenance supervisor.   In his spare time Phil could be found horseback or fishing.  Phil was a gifted auctioneer.  Nothing brought more joy to his life than his family, especially his grandkids. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Grayson and Flora Belle Williams; brothers, Raymond, Euell “Duke”, Dale; and sisters, Dorothy and Carolyn.

Survivors include his wife, Vickie of the home; children, Amanda McGill, J.Ben Williams and wife Erin, Dalon Williams and wife Jenny, Wacey Williams and wife Leah; Nicole Mitchell and husband Deion, Kel Schoenhals and wife Rian, Kala Garcia and husband Frank; twenty-two grandchildren; one great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
