Phyllis Key, 79, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016.
Funeral service will be held 10 am Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in the First Baptist Church of Sanford with Pastor Larry Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to Kindred Hospice.
Phyllis was born October 4, 1936 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Mevelyn (Poston) and John Hogan. She was raised by her grandparents, John and Hattie Poston in
Phillips where she graduated from Phillips High School. Phyllis married the love of her life Charles Key in December of 1969. She owned and operated Charlies Diner in Borger and the Bowling Alley Café. Phyllis also worked at the Lake Meredith Marina. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sanford.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; sons, Charles Paul and Jerry Don Key; and son-in-law, Bob Trammell; sister, Barbara Jett; and brothers, Tommy and Johnny Adkisson.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Key of the home; daughter, Stephenie Trammell of Sanford; sons, James Key of Borger, Kurtis Kunce and wife Kathy of Borger, Randy Key of Texas City; 5 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and sister, Claudette Caldwell of Pampa.
