When Priscilla moved to Texas, she used her initials from Priscilla Ann McCormick and went by the name of Pam for the rest of her life.
In the 1960s, while working as a waitress at the Sands Motel and Restaurant, she expressed her desire to open a women's clothing store to Charlie and Hazel Whittington. The Whittington's knew Pam's strong work ethic and launched her idea. The remodeled a building on Tenth St. and opened AnnZel Fashions on November 1, 1970 and it was a successful business for 30 years. The name AnnZel came from Pam's middle name and the last 3 letters of Hazel. So many people thought AnnZel was Pam's first name
Pam was an accomplished painter, creative businesswoman, loved to travel, a talented decorator, enjoyed collecting Asian art and loved animals, especially dogs.
She was a member of Altrusa Club of Borger and was instrumental in starting the Altrusa Craft Show that ran for many years. She was a founding member of the Downtown Merchant's Association and The Borger Beach Bash. She believed in supporting local businesses and encouraged everyone to do so.
Pam loved all and was willing to help where she could. She wasn't shy about offering advice (solicited or not, lol). If you were sick, she'd tell you which vitamins you need to take, if sad she'd tell you something to make you smile, if you needed any advice, she became an expert in any and all fields. She truly was passionate about making life easier for all around her.
Her proudest accomplishment was raising her five daughters, instilling in them love generosity and her work ethic.
She always ended all conversations with "I love you more".
Mom--"We love you more"
