Rafael Torres Franco, 72, of Borger, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at his home.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2012 in the Garden Of Hope at Westlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Tim Hall of Grace Church officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Visitation will be from 5p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Rafael was born February 14, 1940 in Villa Morelos Michoacan Mexico to Apolinar and Silveria Torres Franco. He married Abdulia Zuniga September 15, 1959 in Mexico, and retired as a driller in the oil and gas business. They had been Borger residents since 1972 moving from Ulysses, Kansas. Rafaels passions in life were his family, his job, baseball, sports, and traveling.

Survivors include his wife Abdulia four sons Rafael Franco and wife Lydia of Borger, Ruben Franco and wife Teresa of Lubbock, Jerry Franco and wife Lori of Borger, Stevan Franco and wife Felicia of Lewisville three daughters Maria Larios and husband Jose, Betty Herrera and husband Martin both of Borger, Elizabeth Robertson and husband Aron of San Antonio his sister, Maria Lomeli of Sonora Mexico 14 grandchildren, and five greatgrandchildren.

Rafael is preceded in death by his parents.
