Ralph Thurman

BRRalph L. Thurman, 90, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007 in Amarillo, Texas.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Fortress Baptist Church with Rev. John Denton officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.BRBRMr. Thurman was born in July 25,1916 in Collinsville, Oklahoma and had been a Fritch resident for 30 years, moving here from Friona. He retired in 1984 from Huber and worked as a draftsman for Phillips Petroleum Co. and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Friona. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Ressie Thurman, his first wife, Jane, one brother and one sister.BRBRSurvivors include his wife, Jeanette Thurman of Friona, son - Mike Thurman and wife, Patricia of Houston, two daughters - Diana McGarr husband, John of Canadian, Tx., Elaine Bynum and husband, Kenneth of Fritch, two sisters - Lela Lewis of Claremore, Ok., Jewel Ingram of Wichita, Kansas, eight grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren.BRBRMemorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 1400 Wallace Blvd. Amarillo, Texas 79106.
