Ramona Torres

Ramona Torres, 65, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2002.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Shane Wieck celebrant.  Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  The Rosary will be recited beginning at 5 pm on Monday, July 25, 2022, at the funeral home.

Ramona was born on September 5, 1956 in Hale Center, Texas to Victor and Ester (Valenzuela) Cobos.  She married Ruben Torres in 1971 in Dumas, Texas.  Ramona loved playing Candy Crush, Facebook, playing slot machines and reading books.  She especially loved cooking for her family.  Ramona loved spending time with her family and grandkids.  She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Borger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, father, daughter, Veatrice and brother, Victor, Jr.

Family left to cherish her memory are her mother, Ester Cobos of Dumas; sons, Ruben Torres, Jr. and wife, Shannon of Amarillo and Marcel Torres of Borger; daughter Marcie Torres and husband, Roger also of Borger;  brothers, Robert Cobos and wife, Annie of Dumas, and Raymond Cobos and wife, Kim of Amarillo; sisters, Mary Guevara and husband, Fernando of Dumas, Josie Torres and husband, Ernest of Amarillo, Lucy Guitierrez and husband, Ralph, Sylvia Flores and husband, Fred all of Dumas, and Helen Pillers and husband, Terry of Odessa.  Ramona was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
