Fritch
Ray Calvin Adams, 88, of Fritch died Saturday in Amarillo. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Westlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Jerry Davey of Amarillo officiating. Services are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Ray was born January 3, 1920 to Henry and Mimi Adams in Newkirk, Oklahoma. He served in active duty during World War II. He married Pearl Immel on June 9, 1944 in Borger where he resided untill 1999 and moved to Fritch. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels in Borger for 20 years and in his later years thoroughly enjoyed playing Bingo.
Ray was preceeded in death by his wife, a daughter - Sherry Wagner, his parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters.
Survivors include 2 sons - Charles Adams and wife Netta of Amarillo and James R. Adams and wife Mary of Dallas; a daughter - Doneta Herd of California; 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
