Ray Gabriel Gutierrez

Ray Gabriel Gutierrez, 80, passed from this life January 1, 2024 at his home in Borger.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Shane Wieck officiating. Rosary will be 5:00 Thursday at Minton Memorial Chapel.  Cremation will be under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Ray was born May 31, 1943 in Ft. Sumner, NM to Felipe and Fabiola (Salazar) Gutierrez. He spent the rest of his life in Borger where he worked for Phillips Petroleum Co. as an Electrician. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army in the early 1960s. Ray was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.  He loved to play golf and never met a stranger and would visit with his many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters Maida Villasenor Perez and Bonnie Gutierrez.    

Ray is survived by his two brothers Joe Gutierrez and his wife Aline of Amarillo and Leroy Gutierrez and his wife Cindy of Canyon and his sister Helen Hernandez of Amarillo.
