Ray Rawlins

Ray Rawlins, 78, a long time resident of Borger passed away Monday, November 16, 2009, in Wichita, Kansas.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Minton Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Ray was the 9th born of 11 children on Dec 27th 1930 in Gordonville Texas to Ancel Aaron Maude Della Rawlins. He had lived in this area since 1946 and the past ten years in Kansas. He retired from Cominco American. He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, shooting pool and collecting coins and was a member of Bunavista Baptist Church.

Ray is survived by his daughter Janan Martin and husband Billy of Derby, KS son Boyd Rawlins and wife JoAnna of Derby, KS, son Les Rawlins and wife Beverley of Kingston Springs, TN brother Harold Butch Rawlins of Lewisville, sister Ruth Denton of Perryton, sister Dana Rawlins of Amarillo, two grandsons, seven granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.

Casket bearers will be Bo Rawlins, Max Rawlins, Donald Denton, Jerry Denton, Clinton Rawlins, Albert Rawlins and Bulldog Rawlins.

There will be a visitation for family and friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 20th at the funeral home.
