Rebekah Lynn Hensley, 63, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018.
Funeral services will held 10 am Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at First United Methodist Church in Panhandle with Rev. Quita Jones officiating. The family will receive family from 6-8 pm Monday, January 22, 2018 at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. Burial will be held in Knoxville, Tennessee under the direction of Berry Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to Don & Sybil Harrington Cancer Center, 1310 Wallace Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79106.
Rebekah was born June 13, 1954 in Knoxville, Tennessee to David E. Gregg and Gin Laughlin Gregg. She married Donald Hensley on July 6, 1981 in Knoxville. Rebekah was a member of First Methodist Church of Panhandle. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, in fact she gave up work to be "Bek Bek" full time. In her free time she like to be outside, work in her yard and keep "watch" on her corner for the safety of the neighborhood.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Honey Hensley; grandson, Brecken Reed Simpson; and special friend, Gene Floyd.
Survivors include her husband, Don of Panhandle; daughter, Ginna Simpson and husband Shane of Panhandle; three grandchildren, Shelby Lynn, Gracelynne Marie, Briggston Lee; parents; Gin and Rev. David Gregg of Knoxville, Tennessee; and three brothers, Kim Gregg, Mark Gregg and Spencer Gregg and wife Kristi all of Knoxville, Tennessee.
