Retha Burgess Atinson, 82, of Borger passed awayFriday Feb. 18th in Borger. Graveside services will be 10 am at Westlawn Cemetery in Borger with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pasotr Bible Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be under the under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Retha was born June 9, 1928 in Bokchito, Oklahoma to Leslie and Exie Burgess. She was a LVN for Dr. Hays for 24 Years.She had been a Borger resident for 60 years. She married Brooks L. Atkinson March 13, 1945 at Durant, OK. He preceded her in death in 1974 and a grandson Stephen in 2004. She was a member of Keeler Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter Peggy Little and husband Richard of Stinnett, Tx and a son Gary Atkinson and wife Sandy of College Station, Tx. Brother Gene Burgess of Pottsboro, Tx. Sisters Wanda Magby and Dess Jameson both of Durant, Ok, Jo Ann Mays of Bokchito, OK and Dorothy Allen of Caddo, OK. Five grandchildren and 10 Great grandchildren
