Rev. Guillermo Barraza, 66 went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 13, 2024, in Amarillo. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, April 22, 2023, at Borger First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Ezequiel Contreras officiating.  Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.   Rev. Barraza will lie in state 8am-8 pm on Friday and Saturday. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the funeral home.  Should you desire donations can be made to Tabernáculo De Fe Assembly of God Church, 211 Moreland Street, Borger, Texas, 79007.

Guillermo was born June 25, 1957, in Durango, Mexico to Francisco Barraza and Aurora Samaniego.   He married Olga Leticia Segura on November 17, 1975, in Reynosa Tamaulipas Mexico.  Guillermo was a member and pastor of the Tabernáculo De Fe Assembly of God Church in Borger.  He was dedicated not only to God but to the church.  He lived his life for God first and his family second.  Nothing brought more joy to his life than his family.  Guillermo enjoyed being outside and staying busy, he was never idle.  An avid Green Bay Packers fan, he also enjoyed watching movies.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Francisco and Aurora Barraza; wife, Olga Barraza; sister, Adela Samaniego; and brothers, Fidel Barraza and Manuel Barraza.

Survivors include his sons, Sergio Barraza and wife Tristan of Liberty Hill, Texas, Guillermo Barraza and wife Petra of Melbourne, Australia, Absalon Barraza of Leander, Texas; daughters, Jessie Higareda and husband Aurelio of Borger, Genesis Higareda of Houston, Texas, and Jennifer Higareda of Borger; grandchildren, Jason and Jordan Higareda, Leyla and Evelia Barraza; great grandchildren, Everleigh Higareda, one great grandchild on the way Magnolia Jade Higareda, and one due to arrive in November; brother, Francisco Barraza and wife Hilda of Fritch; sisters, Rosa Maria Reyes and husband Antonio of Reynosa, Mexico, Amparo Rodriguez and husband Abdias of Borger; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
