Richard Abbott

Richard D. Abbott, 89, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014.
Funeral service will be 10 am Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Central Baptist Church in Pampa. Burial will be held at 3:30 pm in Morton Memorial Cemetery in Morton, Texas under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Abbott was born April 8, 1924 in Bradshaw, Texas to Franklin and Nora Abbott. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. Richard was a past member of the Pampa Optimist Club. He was also a member of Pampa Roping Club and Pampa Senior Golf Club.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents one grandson three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth of the home son, Douglas Abbott of Pampa daughter, Linda Sue Abbott of Pampa two grandchildren three great grandchildren sisters, Ioma Dancish of Houston, Doris Bahe of Longmont, Colorado, Peggy Abbott of Bryan.
