Richard Joseph Andy Andrews, 83, died Monday, November 15, 2010 in Amarillo.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bill Browning, Pastor of Broadway Baptist Church in Fritch officiating. Masonic graveside rites will be under the auspices of Billy Dixon Masonic Lodge 811 at Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock,TX. Arrangements are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Mr. Andrews was born on April 23, 1927 in Providence, Rhode Island and had lived in Fritch since 1964. He was an operator for Pioneer Natural Gas Co. for 32 years, and served in both the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Army. He married Lula Faye Engle on June 27, 1954 in Mineral Wells, TX. He was a member of the Billy Dixon Masonic Lodge 1360, was a Shriner and member of the Khiva Temple and Eastern Star 811. He was preceded in death by two sons Roy Richard.

Andy is survived by his wife Faye Andrews of the home, three sons Wayne Engle and wife Waltraud of Castle Rock, CO, James Andrews of Kenmore, WA, Larry Andrews and wife Amy of Bullard, TX, daughter Linda Engle of Richardson, TX, twelve grandchildren and eleven greatgrandchildren .
