Richard Wright

Richard D. Wright, 81, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010 in Borger.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Westlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, Pastor officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Love at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Mr. Wright was born September 2, 1928 in Borger and had lived in Fritch since 1975. He graduated from Phillips High School. He married Lois Bartram on September 12, 1948 in Borger and she preceded him in death in 2004. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church, and enjoyed fishing and photography. He was a project supervisor for S T Technologies and served in the U.S. Air Force as a staff Sergeant during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his son David Wright and wife Betty of Austin, four grandchildren Daney Hill, Jeremy Wright, Jamie Waller and Jessica Knox, five greatgrandchildren Austin Waller, Marshall Wright, Devyn Knox, Kelsey Holmes Anna Knox, and one greatgreat granddaughter Lilly Holmes.
