Richie Alan Eakins, 40, joined the angels in Heaven on Wednesday, May 2, 2012.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 7, 2012 at Eternal Light Church with Pastor Willie Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden Of Hope at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Richie always saw the beauty in people just as God sees the beauty in all of us. He went to Borger High School and worked at Spradling Drilling Company for many years until he became ill.

Richie was preceded in death by his Dad, Robert Morris Eakins, his grandparents Vernon Dorothy Welch, Gus Eakins, and Danny Stroup.

Survivors include his mother and stepdad, Judy and Don Parker of Borger a son, his pride and joy, Richie Don Eakins of Borger two daughters that he loved with all of his heart, Lacee and Raygen Eakins of Borger a brother that he would have taken a bullet for, Morris Eakins of Borger a sister that he adored, Dorrie Sanford of Borger two stepbrothers, Jeff Parker of Amarillo, and Andy Skidmore of Borger two stepsisters, Debi Opiela of Crosby, Tx, and Kim Wimmer of California. He loved all of his nieces, nephews and cousins.

The angels in Heaven are rejoicing to see Richie entering Gods Kingdom, but he will be missed by all of his family and friends on Earth.
