Rickey Whipkey

Rickey "Rick" Allen Whipkey, 59, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 9, 2018.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm on Friday, January 12, 2018 in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Calvin Winters officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Rick was born June 20, 1958 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Carl Dean Whipkey and Lois Marie Coffey Whipkey. He has lived in the Borger and Fritch area all his life. Rick worked for Daniel's, Fish and Zachry Construction until he got sick fourteen years ago.

Rick liked to fish when he was able to. He liked to work in his shop building different things. Rick was a craftsman's craftsman!

He is preceded in death by his dad, Carl Dean Whipkey; and both maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include his mother, Lois Whipkey of Fritch; brothers, Timothy Neil Whipkey of Borger, Douglas Raye Whipkey of Baytown; sister, Carla Jean Fite of Borger; and several nieces and nephews.
