Robert Cannefax

Robert C. Cannefax, 89, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held 2 pm CST Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in Restlawn Memorial Park in El Paso, Texas, with Rev. Bruce Ridling of the Borger Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Graveside services will be conducted by Sunset Funeral Home of El Paso with a viewing at their northeast location from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CST on Tuesday, April 1, 2017.

Robert was born July 14, 1927 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Mattie Burks and John William Cannefax. He married Rose Bailey August 28, 1948 in El Paso, Texas.
Robert proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of the Confederate Air Force and Borger Missionary Baptist Church. He had a true passion for horses.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rose; daughter, Sandi Stone; and nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his son, Craig Cannefax of Borger; daughters, Jill Griswold and husband Jim of Borger, Karen Cannefax of Borger; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; fifteen great-great grandchildren; and sister, Lola Mae Luman of El Paso, Texas.
