Robert Fennell

Robert "Fred" Wayne Fennell, 71, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016.

Graveside service will be held 3pm Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in Westlawn Memorial Park with Mr. Jake Minton officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to the American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell St., Amarillo, Texas, 79109.

Robert was born December 3, 1944 in Vernon, Texas to Christine (Mathis) and Luke Fennell. He proudly served in the United States Army. He married Cyndy Tweed on December 1, 1984. Robert loved anything and everything to do with hotrods and racing. He enjoyed camping, grilling and improving food with bacon and cheese. Robert loved to visit and never met a stranger.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Fennell.

Survivors include his wife Cyndy of the home; sons, Brian Fennell and wife Christi of Buda, Texas, Tracy Fennell of Kyle, Texas; three grandchildren, Justin Kirby, Dylan Fennell, Brayden Fennell; sister, Beverly Gifford of Amarillo; brother, Danny Fennell of Amarillo; brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Debbie Tweed of Durham, Oklahoma; and his beloved canine companion, Allie.
