Robert Gideon

Robert Gene Gideon, 85, died Sunday, October 21, 2012 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, at the Panhandle Cemetery with Gemma Reyes, Chaplain of Odyssey Hospice officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.
Gene was born July 28, 1927 in Panhandle to Al and Ella Vance Gideon. He married Rossie Lyles on June 28, 1952 in Panhandle. Gene served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and Korea. He was a Metrologist for Pantex for many years. Gene was a lifetime resident of Panhandle and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Gene is survived by his wife two sons, Carl Gideon and wife Elaine of Quinlan, TX and Robert Gideon and wife Sheila of Amarillo a daughter, June Gibson of Amarillo a sister, Lydia Edwards of Borger 7 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, and one on the way.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association.
