BRMEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12TH AT 1:00 PM, AT MINTON MEMORIAL CHAPEL WITH JAKE MINTON OFFICIATING. ARRANGEMENTS ARE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MINTONCHATWELL FUNERAL DIRECTORS OF BORGER.
BRMR. HARPER WAS BORN FEB. 25, 1926 IN PEABODY, KANSAS TO LEONARD A. AND LAURA ETHEL HARPER. RAISED IN HUTCHINSON AND WICHITA KANSAS, BOB SERVED IN WWII IN PACIFIC THEATER, OKINAWA INVASION FOR THE SIGNAL CORPS. BRBRBOB MARRIED BOBBYE ELOYCE HARPER IN BORGER ON JUNE 4, 1949 AT THE HOME OF RED AND CATHERINE DAVIS. HE ATTENDED WICHITA STATE UNIVERSITY AND GRADUATED FROM FRANK-PHILLIPS COLLEGE IN BORGER. HE WORKED IN THE OILFIELD IN BORGER AND SALES IN AMARILLO UNTIL RETIREMENT IN 1991. A DEVOTED HUSBAND, FATHER OF FIVE BOYS, BOB LOVED LIFE, GOD AND COUNTRY.BRBRHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY THREE SONS, LARRY DALE, DAVD LEE AND ROBERT DOUGLAS HARPER.
SURVIVORS INCLUDE HIS WIFE BOBBYE OF 60 YEARS, TWO SONS - BRAD CHERYL HARPER AND DWIGHT HARPER ALL OF AMARILLO. HE HAS SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN AND FOUR GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN.
