Robert Wilson

Robert Louis Wilson, 92, passed from this life Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in Amarillo. Celebration of Life service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Polk St. United Methodist Church.  Cremation was under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Robert was born to Alva R. Wilson and Edith Bessie Rhudy Wilson on August 14, 1930 in Independence, Kansas.  He joined the US Navy in 1951 and was transferred to the Marines to be a Dental Tech 3rd Class.  He married Patricia "Patsy" Ann Tarver on August 31, 1956 in Borger.  Robert was a banker for twenty-two years at Panhandle Bank and Trust in Borger, then for four years at Citizens Bank in Pampa and four years at First State Bank in Tulia.  He was a graduate of Baylor University and a former Rotarian and loved to read, tell stories and biking. He loved sports and went to all his granddaughters games.  He was a family man and loved his grand and greats very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Barbara Washam.

Robert is survived by his wife of sixty-six years Patsy, his son David Wilson and his wife Larissa of Amarillo and his daughter Kelly Wilson also of Amarillo, his granddaughters Meredith Finley and her husband Jordan of Dallas and MaKensey Wilson also of Dallas and his great grandsons Parker David Finley and Campbell Ford Finley.
