Robert Monden

Robert Lyle "Bobby" Monden, 81, died on December 19, 2018 in Borger. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church of Stinnett with Bill Burkholder officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Bobby was born February 18, 1937 in Pampa to Lucien Bryant Monden and Bessie Fay Huffine Monden. He was a lifetime resident of this area mainly in Stinnett. Bobby married Donna Marcum September 17, 1955 in Stinnett. He retired from Southwestern Public Service Co. as a journeyman and Co-owned Mike's Service Station with his son Mike. Bobby loved to get together with his family at many times during the year but mainly the yearly Labor Day games time. He went fishing and skiing with his brothers annually. He loved his weekly Board Meetings with the men of the family and really enjoyed working outdoors. His Grandkids Motto was "Take it to Grandad, he can fix anything."

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Gene, J. A. and Luke.

He is survived by his wife of sixty three years Donna, his two sons Mike Monden of Stinnett and R. L. Monden and his wife Marcia of Stinnett, his brother Richard Monden of Stinnett, his sisters Lanell McCormick of Pampa, Peggy Press of Stinnett, Linda Davis and her husband Bob of Waco and Connie McDaniels and her husband Gary of Stinnett, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
