Robert Bob Patak, 78, of Borger, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in Amarillo.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Fairlanes Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Burwash officiating. Interment will follow in the Field of Honor at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Mr. Patak was born August 25, 1933 to Charles and Rose Patak in College Point, New York. Bob was a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church, and had lived in the Phillips, Borger area since 1954. He married Barbara Hanna, March 6, 1954 in College Point, New York, and was a Corpsman in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Bob was a warehouse supervisor at Phillips Petroleum, and loved playing jokes on people. He never met a stranger, and always said hi to everyone, because he might be the only person to speak to them that day.

Survivors include a son Tony Patak and wife Loree of Bartlesville, Oklahoma a daughter Kem Mullens and husband Roger of Fritch daughterinlaw Linda Patak of LaPorte a brother Francis Patak and wife Ann of Indian Land, South Carolina six grandchildren three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Bob is preceded in death by his wife Barbara, November 3, 2011 a son, Joe Patak, his parents, five brothers, and three sisters.
