Rodney Ormon Sr

Rodney Bryant Ormon, Sr., 73 of Sanford died Saturday August 15 th in Sanford. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday August 20th at First united Methodist Church in Borger with Jake Minton officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Rodney was born January 14, 1942 in Abilene, TX to Kenneth Xan and Charlene McNeeley Ormon. He was a heavy equipment operator in construction. He came to Sanford in 1978 from Lubbock. He married Donna Prock April 20, 1997 in Borger. He was mayor of Sanford for 25 years. His hobbies were watching Dallas Cowboys, mowing, singing, playing poker, playing drums and his dogs Spooker and Priscilla.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter Andrea LeighAnn Ormon.

He is survived by his wife Donna of Sanford. Sons Phillip Xan Ormon of Abilene and Rodney Bryant Ormon Jr of Indiana. Two grandchildren Xan Ormon and James Ormon. Three great grandchildren Lauren, Tyler and Junior.
