Ross Sherman Josephson, age 97, passed away Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Countryside Nursing and Rehab Center in Pilot Point. He was born February 28, 1915 to Frank and Sella Josephson in Washburn, North Dakota. He graduated North Dakota State University with a Civil Engineering degree. He was a maintenance supervisor for Phillips Petroleum for 38 years. He married Maxine Elizabeth Hill in Borger, Texas on April 15, 1945.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Slay Funeral Home Chapel in Aubrey, TX also a funeral service will be held at Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger with Rev. Ted Wilson, Pastor of St. Andrew United Methodist Church officiating at 10:30 a.m. Monday interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Pampa under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Ross is survived by his wife Mickey of Pilot Point two sons, Barry Josephson of Little Rock, Arkansas and Stanley Josephson of Pilot Point five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren one sister, Irene Rost of Ivanhoe, Minnesota. He is preceded in death by brothers, Harland and Raymond Josephson.
Family visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Borger. Mr. Josephson will lie in state Saturday and Sunday.
