Roy Montgomery

Roy Dale Montgomery, 66, passed from this life December 17, 2020 in Borger.  Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Fairlanes Baptist Church with Pastor Reese Watson officiating.  Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Roy Dale was born May 2, 1954 in Bartlesville, OK to Tom Montgomery and Juanita Jewell Bradley Montgomery.  He graduated Phillips High School in 1972 and married Debbie Hamilton July 5, 1979 in Shady Grove, OK.  He was a Maintenance Team Leader for Phillips Petroleum Co. He loved fishing at Monument Lake, CO and his greatest joy was rocking his grandkids.  Roy Dale liked being the man behind the scenes so nobody would know he was there getting things done, he was always working on something. He was a charter member of Fairlanes Baptist Church and had lived in Phillips since 1954 and in Fritch since November of 1985.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Teddy.

Roy Dale is survived by his wife of forty-one years Debbie, his two daughters Amanda Montgomery of Skellytown and Linda Blackwell and her husband Tommy of Borger, his three grandchildren Lillie, Audrie and Maycie Blackwell, his two brothers Robert Montgomery and his wife Carolyn of Van Alstyne, TX and Duane Montgomery and his wife Glenda of Amarillo, his sister Jerry Johnson and her husband Gary of Denton, TX and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7;00 p.m. on Monday evening.
