Roy Newman Jr.

Roy Allen Newman Jr. , 75 of Borger died Feb. 1st at Borger. Funeral services will be 2:30 pm at Church of Christ at Borger with Terry Stegall of Dalhart officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Roy was born March 19, 1937 at Quail, Texas to Ron Newman Sr. and Elizabeth King Newman. He married Janice Downs May 30, 1958 at Wellington, Texas. He served in the US Army during peacetime. He worked for Phillips as a mechanic for 22 years. He was past Master of Isom Masonic Lodge 1242 and member of Order of the Eastern Star. He loved restoring old vehicles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Pamela Janice Russell and a son Allen Newman.

He is survived by a daughter Kathy Hough and husband Jarrod of Amarillo. Daughter in law Dorothy Newman of Borger. Sister Fae Mauldin and husband Lawrence of McKinney, Texas. Six grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren
