PRuby Ellen Stanton, 86, left this life to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 in McKinney, TX. PServices will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Sizemore, Pastor officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Love at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. PRuby was born on May 17, 1923 in Ravia, OK to James Henry and Lena Maude Songer Kitchens. She attended High School in Pettit, Texas. She said her sister, Helen Box Small, gave her a wonderful gift. She introduced her to Toy Ray Stanton. After dating for one year they were married on November 19, 1939 in Levelland, TX. and had been married 70 years. PRuby worked at the Quick Stop in Phillips as store manager for 17 years. Ruby was a devoted loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed very much by everyone. Ruby was a soft spoken and caring woman that loved her family and friends. She enjoyed being with family, especially on holidays. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She was preceded in death by two brothers - Alvin Tuff Kitchens and Alton Bub Kitchens. PSurvivors include her husband, Toy Ray Stanton of the home, son Larry Ray Stanton of Locust Grove, OK, daughter Verna Mae Smith of McKinney, three sisters Helen Box Small of Levelland, Lillian Martin of Ruidoso, NM, Lottie Johnson of Whiteface, TX, four grandchildren Lisa Brazeal of Sapulpa, OK, Donald Ray Stanton of Tulsa, OK, Gina Eubank and Kevin Smith both of McKinney, TX; six great-grandchildren Ryan Brazeal, Elizabeth Brazeal and Mary Brazeal all of Sapulpa, OK, Brandon Eubank of Austin, Blake Eubank and Shay Smith both of McKinney.
