BRRuby Juanita Vaughan, 83, died Sunday, March 8, 2009 in Amarillo.BRBRGraveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Westlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Robert Hensley, Pastor of Bunavista Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Garden of Good Shepherd at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. BRBRMrs. Vaughan was born on January 4, 1926 in Wetumka, Ok. She was a lab Tech Supervisor for Phillips Copolymer Plant and retired in 1984. She and H.R. Vaughan were married for 41 years. He preceded her in death in 1985. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jo Whiteley in 2002 and her parents - Ernest Annabell Burkes, Sr.BRShe was a Baptist.BRBRShe is survived by her brother - Ernest Burkes Jr. of Borger, sister - Mildred Smith and husband, George of Wetumka, OK, grandson - Tim Nidifer and wife Rachel of Memphis, TN, three great-grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews. One of her nieces, Helen Sue Smith of Amarillo, was very special to her and gave her loving care.BRBRMemorials may be made to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174.BR
