Fritch - Funeral services for Rubye Groves Parker, 80, of Fritch will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the 1st Southern Baptist Church in Fritch with Rev. John Denton, Former Pastor officiating. Interment will follow at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.BRMrs. Parker was born June 30, 1929 near Pringle and was a lifetime resident of Hutchinson County. She lived 4 miles west of Pringle until 1946 and graduated from Stinnett High School in 1947. She married George Clifford Parker September 14, 1947 in Stinnett. BRShe was a homemaker for many years and also worked at Parker's Home Decorating and the 1st Southern Baptist Church in Fritch where she was a longtime member.BRShe was preceded in death by her husband George C. Parker, parents Richard F. and Nora Parks Groves, sisters - Alma Hybarger, Merle Lollar, Willie Frances Schlaeger, Ida Mae Deaver and her brother J. R. Groves.BRRubye is survived by 2 sons - Joe C. Parker and wife Rene and Kim N. Parker and wife Billie all of Fritch and 2 daughters - Georgia Parker of Richland, WA and Teresa Hand and husband Scott of Dalhart, 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren.BRCasket bearers will be Travis Parker, Nathan Parker, Jarrett Parker Hand, Dan Williams, Brandon Stow and Dustin Smith. Honorary bearers will be Dan Turbett, Wayne Conner, Branden Sain, R. D. Draper and Scott Hand.BRThe family requests memorials to be made to Lieb Cemetery, 11547 Co. Rd. 13, Stinnett, TX 79083.BR
