Russell Carr

Russell L Carr, 77, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017.

Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Russell was born August 12, 1939 in Wedowee, Alabama to William Oliver and Susie Clem Bowen Carr. He enjoyed gardening. Russell was a fun loving guy and was always fun to be around. Nothing brought more joy to his life than being with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Doty Dutton and Margaret Carr; and brothers, Edwin Carr, William Carr and Mark Carr.

Survivors include his daughters, Valerie Rogers and husband Allen of Canyon, Alisha Cryer and husband Joey of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Daryl Lewis and wife Debee, Russell Lewis and wife Cyril, Sarina Huckleby and husband Jacob, Kalee Tucker and husband Austin, and Seth Rawle; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Sarah Baker of Tupelo, Mississippi, Ellaweis Roper of Woodland, Alabama, Doris Andrews, Darlene Templeton and Dicie Gosdin and husband Gerald all of Roanoke, Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews.
