Ruth Inez Dickey, 87, died Friday, April 16, 2010 in Panhandle.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Church of Christ at Borger with Mr. Richard Kasko, minister of the Fritch Church of Christ officiating. Interment wll be n The Garden of Devotion at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. Dickey was born on July 5, 1922 in Newton County, Arkansas to Oscar and Clara Canady, and she had been a Borger resident since 1941. She married J. V. Dickey on July 16, 1940 in Harrison, Arkansas. She worked for the Phillips Independent School District for 11 years. She loved to cook, enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens and was a Cowboy fan. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Donald F. Dickey, brother Joe Canady and sisters Sally Canady and Mildred Cooper.
She is survived by two sons Eddy G. Dickey and wife Sharon of Wichita Falls, TX, Joe Dickey and wife Cindy of Borger, seven grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.
The family will be staying at 704 Montana in Borger.
There will be a visitation for family and friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home.
