Sam W. Dunn, 72, died Saturday, June 2nd, 2007 in Fritch, Texas.BRBRServices will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Episcopal Church with Rev. David Williams officiating. Graveside services will be under the auspices of San Jacinto Masonic Temple of Amarillo at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo. Arrangements are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.BRBRMr. Dunn was born on January 19, 1935 in Pampa and had been a resident of Fritch for 8 years. He was a University of Texas graduate and a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. He married Diane Hampton on June 25 ,1961 in Borger. He was also a captain in the United States Army.BRBRMr. Dunn has been an active board member of the Lake Meredith Aquatic Wildlife Museum for four years during which time he has helped renovate the aquatic exhibit and other projects to renew the physical building. He was elected as President of the museum's Board of Directors in 2007. Semi-retired, he has been in business for most of his career working as a wholesaler for Budweiser, Coors, and Lone Star breweries. His current business, Sam Dunn Enterprises Inc., is a logistical Warehousing business located in Longview, Texas, which stores products for various manufacturing companies, USDA, and breweries. He has been an active member of the San Jacinto Masonic Lodge, and a Shriner for a number of years. Sam was also a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity.BRBRHe was preceded in death by his parents, Sam C. Geraldine P. Dunn and one sister, Patricia Eastwood.BRBRHe is survived by his wife, Diane, a son - Sam W. Dunn, Jr. and his wife, Melinda of Longview, Tx., two daughters - Sandra J. Holm and her husband, Dave and Stephanie D. Wilson and her husband, Wayne all of Tyler, Tx., brother - Lehmer Dunn and his wife, Sue of Amarillo, eight grandchildren - Tiffany Holm of Tyler, Tx., Alexis Wright of Longview, Tx., Hannah, Olivia and Rebecca Dunn all of Longview, Tx., Erica, Nicholas and Allison Wilson all of Tyler, Tx., brother-in-law - Bryan Hampton, two cousins - Bill and Sam Attebury both of Amarillo, Tx., and many nieces and nephews.BRBRIn Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., tampa, Florida 33607-1460.BR
