Sammye Johnson

Sammye Jean Johnson, 64, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 in Fritch.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Bunavista Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Hensley, Pastor and Conny Moore, assisting. Cremation was under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Sammye was born on October 5, 1945 in Borger to James and Myrble Petty. She had been a lifetime area resident. She was a CHPN, RN for Hospice Care of the Southwest and was a member of Bunavista Baptist Church. She was also a member the American Quarter Horse Association, was a Borger Elkettes, an Elvis Presley Fan and a NASCAR fan.

Sammye is survived by her son Todd Wilson of Borger, stepson Ira Johnson of Washington, daughter Kellye Baker and husband Lance of Canyon, two sisters Lenna Norton and husband Clayton and Glynda Petty all of Borger, and two grandchildren Alexis DeBord and Austin Baker.
