Sarah Haskins

Sarah Alice Haskins, 91, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014.

Funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Panhandle First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. The family will receive guests on Wednesday at the funeral home in Panhandle from 57 pm.

Sarah was born April 9, 1922 in Franklin, Tennessee to Oscar and Gladys Nolen. She married Jack Haskins on October 9, 1941 in Dillion, South Carolina. Ms. Haskins was a member of Panhandle First United Methodist Church, the VFW Womans Auxiliary and the nurture and care committee. She was an artist and enjoyed making jewelry and crocheting. Sarah was a great card player but an even better cheater of playing cards.

She is preceded in death by her parents husband, Jack daughter, Rosemary Andrus son, Randy Haskins brothers, Oscar, Bob and Bill Nolen and sister, Jessie Mae Williams.

Survivors include her son, Raymond Haskins of Amarillo brother, Thomas Nolen of Wichita Falls three grandchildren, Jay Sarah Call, Tiffany Rae AndrusFlowers, Aaron Andrus great grandchildren, 1st Lieutenant Jayson Walser, Sergeant Dustin Walser, Lawrence Davis, Adalynn Davis two great great grandchildren, Aiden and Kaelynn Walser three step granddaughters all of Amarillo and six step grandchildren.
