Sekethia Cole

Sekethia Cole, age 84 of Borger, TX embarked on her adventure from this dimension to her new journey on June 17, 2018, leaving behind dozens of treasured recipes that she refused to share.

She was a loving, doting mother to her children that she later pushed to the back burner for her cherished grandchildren: Gwen Brown (Brandon), Maggie Sauls, Marilyn Sauls, Melanie Johnson (Mark), Porsche' Brantley, Anthony Brantley (Vilma), and Jaelon Brantley. The grandchildren were in the forefront of her life until the great-grandchildren came: Jeremiah Jones, Xavier Walker, Nicole Brantley, Kameron Brantley, Camila Gonzalez, and Mark Johnson III. The premier gem in Sekethia's life was her great-great grandson Jeremiah Jones Jr. (Man). Sekethia Cole was a great cook, good friend, and marvelous mother. She had a great sense of humor and a huge love for the things of God. She is survived by two daughters: Stella Sauls (Winston), and Ann Brantley (Paul) and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews that will mourn her departure.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Maggie and LeRoy Jackson, Earl Johnson, her husband Fronie Cole Jr., and her son I.W. Walker.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, June 23rd at Grace Church with Pastor Marshall Ford officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.
