Shane Colby Walker, 33, beloved brother, uncle, and son, was called to his eternal resting place on April 18, 2024, in Irving, Texas, peacefully at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at New Jerusalem Church Of God In Christ, Borger, Texas. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the funeral home.
Shane entered this world on January 9, 1991, in Amarillo, Texas, born to Frank and Audrey Walker. Shane graduated from Borger High School in 2009. Shane was a member of the BHS varsity choir for four years, BHS mascot, member of the Theater and Arts class, and competed on the speech and debate team. Shane loved all music of all genres and God blessed Shane with the most angelic voice one could ever imagine. Shane became a hair and makeup artist and pageant coach at the age of 16 years old. Shane’s career flourished and he traveled the world with the intent of making people of all ages look and feel fabulous inside and outside. Shane had a heart of gold, and his smile would brighten anyone’s day by lighting up any room he walked into. Shane loved to eat…A LOT! He was always trying to convince someone to make him a personal order of something. He was not afraid to tell you what was on his mind whether you wanted to hear it or not, but it was always out of love. Shane was a member of New Jerusalem Church Of God In Christ, where he learned to sing in the Sunshine Band and purity class. He later became a member of Dayspring Family Church in Irving, Texas, under Bishop Kevin Keith Dickerson and Paster Sonjia Dickerson. Shane was a choir member with Dayspring Choir. Shane loved God and he found God again, he found great peace, comfort, and joy through gospel music.
Shane loved all people, he was full of energy, the life of the party, and always encouraging others even at his lowest points in his last days. Shane lived his life to the fullest and was blessed to see his legacy here on earth.
Survivors include his sister, Tisha Walker of Irving, Texas; niece, Holly Jones of Carrollton, Texas; nephew, Marlon Jones, Jr. of Lewisville, Texas; aunt, Judy Sandifer of Hurst, Texas. Shane had tons of other aunts, great aunts, and great uncles, along with a host of cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Audrey Walker; grandparents, Timp and Selettie Adams, and Bessie Choyce.
