Sherman Fleming

Sherman Fleming went to be with his Lord and savior on November 23, 2014. Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday November 26,2014 at 11:00 am at Faith Covenant Church in Borger, TX. Officiating ministers will be Rev. Bobby Wilson, brotherinlaw of Pueblo, Colorado and Dennis Richardson of Stinnett. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Sherman was born July 31, 1936 to Carl and Ethel Fleming in Borger, TX. He met and married the love of his life, Ada Ruth Alexander, on February 24, 1956. Their life together was an inspiration for all their family and friends. They were blessed with 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

Together Sherman and Ada Ruth started Fleming TV Service in 1959 which is now Fleming Furniture Appliance. They worked sidebyside until his illness caused him to retire in 2007. What he missed most was talking with friends and clients at his business.

He was a loving, devoted, Pa to all his grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was their biggest supporter at sporting events.

He was a devout Christian who loved the Lord with all his heart. He loved his church family and friends. He will be greatly missed by those he left behind.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and daughter, Veneica Sherrod.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Ada Ruth Fleming daughter, Sherry Storm and husband Alan of Fritch son Randy Fleming and wife Joy Beth Fleming of Hurst, TX son Greg Fleming and wife Janet of Borger sister, Pat Slyter of Borger and brother Wayne Fleming of Amarillo 9 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and family from 57 pm Tuesday, November 25,2014 at MintonChatwell Funeral home in Borger.

The family suggests memorials be made to Cal Farleys Boys Ranch P.. Box 1890 Amarillo, Texas 79174.
