Sherrie Gale Kinsey, 86 of Panhandle, passed from this life on Monday, January 6, 2025. She was the second child of Ben and Eltha (Kuykendall) Gibson, born March 13, 1938.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, in Parker Memorial Cemetery in Grapevine, Texas. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to Interim Hospice, 2217 Perryton Pkwy, Pampa, Texas, 79065.

Sherrie married her husband of nearly 41 years, Bobby Neil Kinsey on June 4, 1955. Together they had 4 beautiful children. Sherrie was a faithful member of the Church of Christ all her life. Sherrie enjoyed playing board games, card games, and the like with family and friends. Sherrie also enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, quilting and crocheting (doilies and Afghans were her specialty). Sherrie had a special love of elephants, evident to anyone who entered her home, and loved to be around babies and small children just the same. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Eltha Gibson; husband, Bobby Kinsey; two children, Steven Neil Kinsey, Brenda Gale Webb; brother, Kenneth Gibson; sister, Kay Sellers; and two great grandchildren, Daylee and Christopher Overton.

She is survived by her two children, Sherrie Lynn Bronniman and husband Wayne, Bobby Dale Kinsey, nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; brother, Lynal Gibson; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends whom she loved dearly.
