Sheryl Gross

Sheryl Kay Gross, 64, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013.

Funeral service will be 2 pm Friday, September 20, 2013 at First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Sheryl was born June 30, 1949 in Leon, Iowa to Mervon and Reva Blunt. She married Dennis Gross in Indianola, Iowa on May 31, 1968. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Fritch and served as their secretary and treasurer. Sheryl was a substitute teacher for many years and volunteered her time to many organizations such as the CareNet Pregnancy Center, various hospice groups and the Northwest Texas Hospital baby cuddling program. She was an adopted Mother to many.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Rick Blunt.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis of the home sons, Philip Gross and his wife, Laura of Amarillo Nathan Gross and his wife, Shirley of Wentzville, Missouri daughter, Rebekah Rudd and her husband, Josh of Amarillo two grandsons, Orlando and Phoenix Rudd of Amarillo and brother, David Blunt and his wife, Kim of Foristell, Missouri
