Skyler G. Aynes, 88, formerly of Fritch, died Monday, December 21, 2009 in Lubbock.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Westlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Bill Browning, pastor of Broadway Baptist Church in Fritch officiating. Masonic graveside service will be under the auspices of Unity Masonic Lodge 1242. Arrangements are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Mr. Aynes was born on November 9, 1921 in Nellie, Arkansas. He was a blender for Phillips Petroleum Co. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WW II. He was a 32nd degree mason and member of the Masonic Lodge and the El Paso Scottish Rite. He loved any kind of fishing.
Survivors include his wife Jo Aynes of the home, daughter - Pam Hargrove of Lubbock, brother - Kenneth Aynes of Harrah, OK, and one grandchild Devin Hargrove.
