Sonja LaVern Greene, 74, of Stinnett, died Friday, June 3, 2016 in Borger.

Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the Riverview Baptist Church with Preacher Jimmy Gillmore officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Sonja Greene was born November 11, 1941 in Haskell County, Rule, Texas to William E. "Slim" and Pauline (Cobb) Sorrells. She married L.D. "Dick" Greene August, 20, 1957 in Stinnett, and was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church. Sonja enjoyed bragging on and being around her family and her dog Petey. She loved the Texas Rangers, cooking, and keeping house.

Survivors include her two sons Dave Greene and wife Kellie of Amarillo, Rodney Greene and wife Dalene of Borger, her daughter Kathy Pratt and husband John of Borger, ten grandchildren Daniel, Matt, Curtis, and Jeremiah Greene, Haley Beardemphl, Terrance Pratt, Kyle Irvin, Brittany Hinz, Chase Herriman, and Brigan Wheat, eight great grandchildren with two on the way, sister-in-law Vernelle Evans of Amarillo, and many nieces and nephews.

Sonja is preceded in death by her husband, August 20, 2011, her parents, three brothers Jerry, Doyle, and Charles Sorrells, and her sister Mavis Middleton.
