Stanley W. Booten, 81, died Monday, January 26, 2009 in Lamesa, Texas.BRBRServices will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church with Jody Wilson of St. Andrews United Methodist Church officiating. Graveside rites will be under the Auspices of Unity Masonic Lodge 1242 in The Garden of Good Shepherd at Westlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.BRBRMr. Booten was born on May 12, 1927 in Ft. Worth, Texas, and had been a Borger resident since 1954 moving here from Chickasha, OK. He retired from Pantex, served in the U.S. Navy during WW II as a Seaman 1st Class, was a member of the Unity Masonic Lodge 1242, was a Shriner and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Mary Elizabeth Booten, his wife - Sammy Jo on February 27, 1981, three brothers and three sisters.BRBRHe is survived by his son - George Booten and wife Laura of Evans, Georgia, daughter - Jan Yoder and husband Gary of Lamesa, TX, sister - Betty Phillips of Weatherford, TX, three grandchildren - Rachel Booten, Amy Yoder, Captain Gary GII Yoder II and wife Lisa and one great-grandson - Gary GIII Yoder III.BRBRCasket bearers will be members of the Unity Masonic Lodge 1242
