Stanley Davis

Stanley G. Davis, 94, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 in Borger, Texas. Services will be 2:00 pm Friday Dec. 4th at Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Forsythe officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Garden at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mr. Davis was born on August 23, 1915 in Chancel, Arkansas and had been a Borger resident since 1943. He married Louella Catherine Ponder on January 19, 1942 in Holdenville, Oklahoma, and she preceded him in death in October, 2006. He was a lifelong member of Hutchinson County Sheriff's Posse and loved horses. He was a foreman for Phillips Petroleum Co. He was preceded in death eight sisters and one brother. Stanley is survived by two sons - John Davis and wife Lorraine of Austin, Jim Davis and wife Tonya of Heidelberg, Germany, two daughters - Cathy Rauscher and husband Larry of Amarillo, Karen turner of Austin, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Casket bearers will be Rusty Rauscher, Chris Davis, Craig Davis, John Turner, Austin Davis and Tom Bible. Honorary bearers will be Hutchinson County Sheriff Posse.
