Stephen Lynn Hooker, 69, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 in the Minton Memorial Chapel at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors in Borger with Mr. Jake Minton officiating.  Mr. Hooker will be buried in Green Valley Cemetery in Osawatomie, Kansas following funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Eddy-Brichard Funeral Home in Kansas.

Stephen was born August 4, 1951 in Independence, Kansas to Donald Hooker and Juanita Hull Hooker.  He married the love of his life, Phyllis Hunsperger, on November 17, 1978 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  Stephen worked as an electrician for Phillips 66 then Conoco-Phillips where he retired.  He enjoyed doing model trains, playing games on his ipad, and sitting in the back yard with his beloved canine companion, Memphis.  Traveling with his bride was an adventure he never turned down, having taken numerous Alaskan cruises and trips to Graceland in Memphis.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Juanita Hooker; sister, Nancy; and brother, Mike.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Hooker of Borger; son, Andrew Hooker of Borger; brother, Russell Hooker of Denver, Colorado; numerous nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
